All About You

The Buyer is responsible for the negotiation and release of purchase orders at the right time, right quantity and within specific targets and budgets. The successful candidate will display a strong ability to use MRP/ERP system to procure equipment and services in many locations throughout the globe. In addition, experience working with providers of electronic components, electrical harness, HVAC systems is a plus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred. Equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree required.
  • 4+ years professional procurement/sourcing experience required
  • Strong attention to detail, target driven, working knowledge of shipping documentation
  • Specific knowledge with ERP (SAP, QAD or similar) systems
  • Familiarity with ISO standards

Responsibilities

  • Choose and secure adequate source(s) of supply through implementing sourcing strategies.
  • Develop feasible sourcing scenarios supporting projects implementation, having challenges, opportunities, and restrictions clear amongst suppliers and key stakeholders.
  • Project Cost Management, w/development/tracking/implementation of cost reduction initiatives
  • Get involved (on demand) and lead discussions with suppliers related to quality issues and poor performance, w/led support from the Supply Chain SQE
  • Implement Continuous Improvement practices while following Safety procedures
