Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience including formal leadership training
  • 3+ years of experience as a lab technician or in a similar role in a chemical laboratory.
  • Strong understanding of chemical safety protocols and laboratory practices.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and techniques including chromatography, spectroscopy, and titration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to document and present findings.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct experiments and analyses to test chemical properties and reactions.
  • Prepare samples and solutions following precise protocols.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning and calibration.
  • Document experimental procedures, observations, and results accurately.
  • Analyze and interpret data to derive conclusions and recommendations.
  • Assist in the development of new products and improvement of existing formulations.
  • Implement and adhere to safety and compliance standards within the lab environment.
  • Assist in tracking wastewater discharge results on metals and communicate any issues.
