Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical certification or HVAC license preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in industrial facilities maintenance or related field with strong emphasis on HVAC systems.
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of single phase and three phase electrical systems, plumbing, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical equipment.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting complex issues and problem-solving techniques.
  • Experience with lockout/tagout (LOTO) and other safety procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience driving forklifts and mobile elevated work platforms (MEWP).
  • Familiarity with CMMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Commitment to safety regulations and procedures in an industrial environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal operation.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems in industrial facilities (rooftop units, air handlers, exhaust fans, etc.).
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues.
  • Ensure proper documentation of work performed using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Maintain tools, supplies, and work areas on a clean and organized manner.
  • Assist in the installation and modification of industrial equipment and systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and departments to address and resolve facility-related issues.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on fire safety systems (Emergency Exits / Lighting, Safety Showers, Flammable gas detectors, etc.)
  • Support the maintenance of production-related utilities as needed (air compressors, pumps, cooling systems, etc.).
  • Assist in planning and executing facility upgrades, renovations, and capital projects.
  • Support environmental, health, and safety initiatives by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
