All About You

Saft is hiring a Sales Manager to support our Tadiran sales team in North America. 

Requirements

  • Complex sales and marketing, negotiations, proposal preparation, budget preparation, technical products, contracts management and terms and conditions, communications and marketing, program management.
  • Experience with the battery industry is preferred.
  • Taking potential opportunities announced in industry and transitioning through marketing and advertising, direct customer relationships, convincing technical teams with management approval, proposal preparation, fact finding and closure. Emphasis on closing.
  • Bachelors in business or other technical related field.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage the pursuit of new business.
  • Specific effort to find and successfully respond to all potential opportunities for Saft technologies in the complex systems environment in the North American market. Develops short term business by prospecting, leading the bid & proposal process, negotiating contracts, setting proposed pricing, and building customer relations.
  • Develops long term business by participating in trade shows, seminars, and expos related to the market, meeting with future prospective customers to explain the capabilities and products of the Division and exploring relationships with leaders in our target markets.
  • Communicates across all functional groups in the Division to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Provides market data to Marketing when requested. Ensures contracts signed are in line with business and strategic objectives of Saft.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the customer base to ensure Saft is the selected source for battery systems. Win them all.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the Govt agencies and End Users applications to ensure Saft is the preferred source and viewed as the industry leader.
  • Cooperate with the other Commercial Managers to share information, support the strategic and tactical plans and to create a team spirit within the groups. Assist in customer visits to solidify the desired outcome of the visits.  Proliferate product knowledge.
  • Accurate forecasting, planning and budgeting process. Support in defining and enabling the strategic direction of the Divisions for the future.  Assist in the leadership of the Divisions through example and through specific actions as requested.
  • Lead proposal efforts related to the areas and markets in your portfolio and other opportunities as directed. Be involved in the writing and other preparation as a priority.
  • Provide guidance to the Business Development team regarding the areas and market in cooperation with the Commercial team.
  • Ensure contracts received and signed because of Sales proposals are consistent with proposals and business terms are within Saft business and strategic objectives.
  • Pursue all potential applications where existing Saft products can be offered.

Salary Range

USD $85,000.00 - USD $90,000.00 /Yr.
