All About You

As a Controls Engineer, you will supervise and analyze the systems and equipment involved with production.  Your primary goals include optimization of existing systems, design, implementing, and maintaining processes that help manufacturing increase productivity, layout, and device placements.  You will be adaptable and strive to find creative solutions to problems as they arise and assist in the implementation of predictive maintenance plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, manufacturing, or mechanical preferred)
  • 5-7 years experience in a related field
  • Hands-on experience using design and calculation software
  • Deep knowledge of automation in manufacturing processes
  • Understanding of electrical engineering codes and safety standards
  • Experience in Rockwell software suites, Beckhoff, TwinCAT3, Inductive automation, Ignition software suite, AutoCad, Met LAB, EPLAN

Responsibilities

  • Support the continuous improvement actions to reduce direct and indirect product and operational costs.  Support actions for scrap, material, and labor cost reductions.
  • Establish technical specifications for equipment in agreement with operational and production requirements.  Manage equipment maintenance to achieve optimum performance.
  • Coordinates work with production management to achieve production operational needs.  
  • Ensures equipment is maintained to operate at standard performance levels.
  • Establishes, documents, and improves standard methods for operating process equipment
  • Promotes continuous improvement within the site and the team cross functionally
  • Promote a safety culture within the site and the team
