All About You

As the Autonomous Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading your autonomous team(s) to safely achieve day-to-day objectives, quality standards, performance and output levels within the time and cost budgeted, while supporting the Value Stream Leader/APU Leader.
This includes ensuring safety and quality policies and procedures are followed, as well as ensuring production meets the organization's targeted goals. The team leader will assist in completing production and assembly. The Team Leader is directly responsible for ensuring ALL team members follow all safety standards and are in compliance with the requirements and pro-actively addressing any non-conformaties immediately. The team leader will assist in completing production and assembly. This position reports directly to the Value Stream Leader over their assigned work area.

Requirements

  • Maintaining and inputting accurate team data into the computer system or other designated system.
  • This includes production numbers, scrap, team boards, etc.
  • Responsible for daily 4 P patrol.
  • Designated Health & Safety Representative for the team.
  • As applicable, undertake and provide on the job training for their relevant autonomous team.
  • Communicating efficiently and effectively to the Production Supervisor, ensuring they are informed of any incident that has stopped production for more than 15 minutes.
  • Ensuring that job rotation standard is continually met.
  • Cover when required for other Autonomous Team Leaders.
  • Conduct 5S audits with the Manufacturing Supervisors and as per the agreed audit plan.
  • Continually drive 5S improvements.
  • Ensuring all team maintenance tasks are completed.
  • Verify that Operating Procedures are up to date and maintained.
  • Coordinate changeover with other teams.
  • As applicable, ensure proper training for new employees.
  • Ensure that employees are performing their job in adherence to company policies, procedures and work instructions
  • Notify appropriate personnel of any line issues (personnel, production, and product).
  • Ensure that Saft policies and procedures are communicated effectively to employees and followed.
  • Develop and maintain good work relationships with team members.
  • Must be certified on ALL workstations within the Autonomous team.
  • Must be able to perform minor first aid, if needed.
  • Responsible for verification of OP's, OIP's and/or 9306's are accurate, up-to-date and the most recent revision is being used.
  • Responsible for advance notification to maintenance and all team members of all upcoming changeovers 

Responsibilities

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED
  • Associate degree in related field, preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years in high-capacity production environment
  • Experience as a team leader, desired.
  • Strong communication and motivation skills
  • Influencing and developing others
  • Planning and organizing
  • Experience in dealing with team members of multi-cultural backgrounds in a professional manner with tact and diplomacy
  • Must possess the ability to write and key in data from production builds into the computer system
  • Knowledge of basic labor laws, such as FLSA, Wage & Hour and FML a plus.
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA for ANY Employer
