All About You

The Contracts and Customer Service Manager is a Senior Management position which is responsible for reviewing and negotiating proposals, contracts, and various agreements. Manage governmental and complex contracts/agreements in order to meet contract requirements, manage and limit Saft's liabilities, as well as, function as in-house point of contact for GOI, US Government, major defense OEM'S and customers. As Customer Service Manager, manage the customer service team, and ensure tasks and duties are conducted efficiently, and in a timely manner to achieve the KPI's set by the business. As site Export Controls Compliance Officer, ensure the site procedures and personnel on-site or visiting the site, fully comply with requirements of appropriate Export & Security/ITAR
Regulations.

Requirements

 

  • 4 year college degree and Government Contracting experience in a similar position or role.
  • 7+ years of contract and/or procurement experience in a Department of Defense environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ITAR regulations
  • Contract negotiation skills.
  • Clear and concise communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficient with MS office products and general computer skills.
  • Ability to manage a team.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute on deadlines while handling multiple concurrent tasks or assignments simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical, critical, and creative thinking skills.
  • Possess a strong business acumen and the ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Must be able to work for any U.S employer (ie U.S. citizen or greencard holder).

Responsibilities

  • Focal point for official communications and customers.
  • Administer contracts at a senior level "cradle to grave".
  • Prepare contracts and research the legality of various agreements.
  • Remain abreast of current FAR, DFAR, export control, CMMC and other government regulations and practices and communicate any changes as appropriate.
  • Resolve performance and other contract administration issues with customers.
  • Responsible for export licensing.
  • Responsible for all aspects of contract negotiating.
  • Ensure that customer contractual requirements are understood by the organization and complied with to maintain full compliance with contract/customer needs.
  • Provide overall management, guidance and mentoring to Customer Service and dispatch representatives to ensure they carry out their duties in a timely, efficient and customer friendly manner.
  • Ensure on-time deliveries to customers in order to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare sales reports to inform the organization of sale and backlog activity and to maintain sales/order forecasting accuracy.
  • Full in-house responsibility for DLA & GOI customers in order to provide necessary commercial support and maintain/win new business opportunities.
  • Interface with customers in order to solve problems and issues. Maximize customer satisfaction and obtain best possible outcome for Saft.
  • Site Compliance Officer - duties as defined by Corporate in the Site Compliance Officer Mission Description. This includes but is not limited to site export control & compliance. Ensure organization is meeting requirements and maintains full compliance. Work with SAI Export Control Officers to ensure regular audits are conducted to ensure compliance and identify areas to improve and/or address to maintain compliance.
  • Participate in and lead where appropriate, the Continuous Improvement initiatives of facility processes using World Class tools and methodologies.
