Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Proven experience in a role focused on continuous improvement or operational excellence
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in an industrial setting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve challenging goals
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean, TPS and Toyota Way, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  • Automotive sector experience desired.
  • Must be able to travel (~25%)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the quality of incoming goods to support manufacturing and customer delivery schedules. Improves the capability of manufacturing processes in order to ensure the quality of goods produced
  • Manage the nonconforming material disposition system in order to insure timely disposition and root cause identification and correction 
  • Develop and maintain QA system and procedures in order to maintain and improve Saft's market position and ensure the delivery of products meet specifications
  • Develop and implement comprehensive excellence programs that support Saft's SES Objectives to enhance organizational performance
  • Lead cross-functional teams in identifying areas for improvement and developing actionable plans
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to drive effective decision-making
  • Conduct and facilitate training workshops and seminars to promote excellence and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Train, coach and collaborate with departmental leaders to align strategies with overall business objectives
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with excellence standards
  • Stay updated on industry trends and benchmarks to ensure best practices are implemented
  • Support the "Gemba" culture within the company and the management of performance on a daily basis the problem-solving culture on a daily basis the culture of continuous improvement at all levels of the company 
  • Responsible for promoting safety at all levels in the organization.
