All About You

A Test Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing the tests that ensure the quality and the functionality of Saft's product. Test engineers participate in all phases of the testing program, from designing the test parameters to troubleshooting errors, and writing up final test procedures. Test engineer design and implement quality-check procedures for Saft's products. Responsibilities include analyzing the product features and designing test parameters. Test engineers should have in-depth knowledge of engineering and product design, a good eye for detail, and the ability to create simple yet thorough quality-check procedures to ensure the peak performance of a product.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, electrical or computer engineering.
  • Previous work experience as a test engineer.
  • Familiarity with testing tools including Apache, Selenium, JMeter, TestStand, or LabVIEW.
  • Knowledge of diagramming software including Gliffy, Microsoft Viso, and AutoCAD.
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering and testing procedures.
  • Good critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to project manage.
  • High-level technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with the product design team to determine product testing parameters.
  • Write test plans and create test cases for the product.
  • Work with environmentaltest chambers and vibration test tables.
  • Conduct quality assurance and design performance tests using testing procedures.
  • Troubleshoot any errors and streamline the testing procedures.
  • Write up the final quality assurance and test procedures for the quality technicians.
  • Train the quality assurance staff and provide technical support when needed.
  • Ensure all tests and procedures meet company and industry standards.
  • Prepare test reports for managers.

Salary Range

USD $75,000.00 - USD $90,000.00 /Yr.
